Tasting Alacati Fest
Tasting Alaçatı Festival: Protect the Land
27-28-29 May 2022
Tasting in Alaçatı Begins
Since its inception, Tasting Alaçatı has attracted over 60,000 visitors, with interest growing year after year, and continues to capture the attention of travelers and explorers—both in Turkey and around the world—as well as those with a refined taste for life.
The event, which aims to promote sustainable tourism in the region and to make it a must-visit destination for travelers worldwide and in travel literature, will take place on May 27, 28, and 29 this year.
The Aegean’s new lifestyle platform
Tasting Alaçatı offers a unique thrill and a new gathering place for those who love the Alaçatı lifestyle. Set against the breathtaking beauty of the Aegean Peninsula, Tasting Alaçatı takes place in the village of Alaçatı and the surrounding natural plateaus, hosted by local businesses over the course of three days. It offers a blend of gourmet delights, conversations, events, workshops, music, art, adventure-filled explorations, and new experiences at the region’s most exclusive venues.
With a mission to highlight the importance of the Aegean’s local products and producers in the region’s food and beverage culture, the organization successfully brings together food connoisseurs, explorers, travelers, leading chefs, local producers, and business owners in Alaçatı each year to offer a global lifestyle experience.
Hosted amidst Alaçatı’s natural beauty and local businesses, the event features Alaçatı’s finest restaurants, hotels, vineyard estates, and farms, which welcome visitors with special menus, activities, and workshops. By showcasing the region at its most beautiful, creating excitement with unique menus and diverse workshops, and crafting memorable moments through music and art, the event offers a truly enjoyable experience.
Live, notice, take action
Tasting Alaçatı, which attracts attention every year with its content and programs centered around different themes, continued on its journey—which began with the slogan “The Provence of the Aegean Calls You”—under the motto “Taste, Feel, Discover.” Last year, centered on “Sustainability and Awareness”—which became the global focus—a rich program was presented covering topics such as “Zero Waste, Recycling, Fair Production, Preventing Waste, Proper Use of Natural Resources, Respect for the Environment, and Awareness of Nature and Humanity.” Guided by the motto “Live, Notice, and Take Action,” the event embarked on a transformative journey—from waste-free tables and recycling to the region’s dwindling crops, the true stories of local producers, nature’s contributions to humanity, and individual awareness—offering a perspective-shifting experience.
What does this year have in store for us?
As part of Tasting Alaçatı, alongside the main events—where history, nature, art, and gastronomy take center stage and are joined by prominent figures—local businesses in Alaçatı are also presenting a variety of programs. A jazz concert in the village, a campfire in nature, performances by star artists, unique workshops, surfing and adventure-filled experiences, art and ceramics exhibitions, and social responsibility activities are just a few of the events taking place as part of Tasting Alaçatı.
